History
Amato Construction Corporation was formed in 1984 by Corrado Amato, with more than 40 years of experience ranging from carpentry, project management and general contractor.
Today Amato Construction Corp. specializes in custom built single family homes and moderate commercial projects.The company will also remodel, enlarge or renovate existing facilities to clients’ specifications.
Amato Construction Corp.began as a limited service group responding to minor construction requirements. The division has grown both in size a scope of services.
Working under extreme conditions requires competent response to facilitate an effective solution, and Amato Construction Corp. is prepared to respond.
PROJECT CHRONOLOGY
Project Begins: Interface with building owner, tenant and architect on an ongoing basis.
Prepare preliminary construction budget, preliminary construction schedule, value engineering study and determine availability of specified products.
Review construction documents with building owner, tenant and architect to resolve any discrepancies prior to issue for subcontractor bid. Request subcontractor bid, review and then select.
Preparation of final construction schedule, construction initiation meeting and start of construction.
Scheduled weekly job meetings followed by jobsite walk throughs.
Punch list walk through and correction of punch list items.

TAPING, PAINTING, WALL COVERING, WATERPROOFING, COLOR MATCHING, TEXTURE COATING, WOOD FINISHING, WOOD GRAINING, MARBLEIZING, AND SPECIAL COATING.
Taping:Drywall
Painting:All areas including color matching.
Wall Covering:Furnish, installation, removal and repair.
Special Coating:Roof areas, decking, and side walls.
Waterproofing: Minor roof leaks and structural leaks.
Floor/Counter:Ceramic tile, marble, slate, and wood flooring.
Carpentry:Rough framing, finish carpentry.
Foundation:Excavation and forming.
Negotiated Contract Services
General Contractor fee is established as a fixed percentage of actual construction costs.
Interface with building owner, tenant and architecture throughout all phases of the project.
Provide preliminary construction budget based on space plan and design development sketches and specifications.
Determine long lead items to facilitate order placement well in advance of installation date.
Solicit bids from qualified subcontractors in each trade; review the bids with owner and tenant prior to selection of subcontractor and awarding of contracts.
